Section 11-23-29 - Form of a claimant's bond

A claimant's bond may be in the following form, viz.:

"We, ____________________, principal, and ____________________ and ____________________, sureties, bind ourselves to pay ____________________ dollars, unless the said ____________________ shall prosecute with effect his claim to a ____________________ [here describe the property], levied on by virtue of an execution issued on the ____________________ day of ____________________, A.D. ____________________, by ____________________ court of ____________________ county, in favor of ____________________ against ____________________, returnable before the ____________________ court on the ____________________ day of ____________________, A.D. ____________________, and valued at ____________________ dollars: or, in case he fail therein, shall pay to the said ____________________ all such damages as may be awarded against the said ____________________, in case his claim shall not be sustained, and shall deliver the same property to the officer having said execution, if the claim thereto shall be determined against the said ____________________.

"Witness our hands, this ____________________ day of ____________________, A. D. ____________________.
