Section 383C.042 - REJECTION OF APPLICATION; REFUSAL TO TEST OR REFER

The human resources director may reject an application of any person for admission to a test or refuse to test any applicant, or to refer the name of an applicant for employment who is found to lack any of the established qualification requirements for the position applied for or tested on, or who is physically unable to effectively perform the duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation, or who has been dismissed from the public service for misconduct, or who has made a false statement of any material fact or practiced or attempted to practice deception or fraud in the application or in the test, or in securing eligibility or appointment. Any such person may appeal to the county civil service commission from the action of the human resources director in accordance with the rules established hereunder.
