Section 286.259 - Violation of act; misdemeanor; penalty; applicability of subsection (1)(1) Subject to subsection (2), a person who maintains a public nuisance in violation of section 3 or otherwise violates this act is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than $25.00 or more than $100.00 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both.(2) Beginning September 1, 2005, subsection (1) does not apply to a violation described in section 10.Amended by 2005, Act 52, s 1, eff. 6/27/2005.1945, Act 72, Eff. 9/6/1945 ;--CL 1948, 286.259.
