Section 2931 - Misuse of E-9-1-1 system1.Prohibited use. A person is guilty of misuse of the E-9-1-1 system if without reasonable cause the person, after having been forbidden to do so by a public safety answering point manager or administrator or a law enforcement officer: A. Makes repeated 9-1-1 calls to make nonemergency reports or inquiries; [2019, c. 339, §9 (AMD).]B. Causes 9-1-1 calls to be made using an alarm or other alerting device that automatically contacts 9-1-1 and transmits a prerecorded signal or message; or [2019, c. 339, §9 (AMD).]C. 2-A.Penalty. The following penalties apply to violations of this section.A. Violation of subsection 1, paragraph A or C is a Class E crime.
