Section 44:41 - Receiving and filing map, plat, etc. for recordA. After September 1, 1970, no clerk of court, recorder of mortgages or register of conveyances, or any other public authority shall receive and file for record any map, plat, or survey attached to and pertaining to the sale or mortgage of property, when such map, plat, or survey is required by either party, which does not have impressed thereon, and affixed thereto, the signature and seal or stamp of a professional land surveyor duly licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 37 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 by whom or under whose responsible charge said map, plat, survey, or other document was prepared.B.
