Section 32:1280 - Enforcement; examinationA. The executive director may conduct examinations of warrantors, administrators, or other persons to enforce this Chapter and protect warranty holders in this state. Upon request of the executive director, a warrantor shall make available to the executive director all accounts, books, and records concerning vehicle protection products sold by the warrantor that are necessary to enable the executive director to reasonably determine compliance or noncompliance with this Chapter.B. The executive director may take action that is necessary or appropriate to enforce the provisions of this Chapter and the executive director's rules and orders and to protect warranty holders in this state. If a warrantor engages in a pattern or practice of conduct that violates this Chapter and that the executive director reasonably believes threatens to render the warrantor insolvent or cause irreparable loss or injury to the property or business of any person or company located in this state, the executive director may take such enforcement action, including without limitation, such orders and fines as are authorized in Chapter 6 of this Title.Acts 2007, No. 388, §1, eff.
