Section 30:1202 - DefinitionsExcept where the context clearly indicates otherwise, as used in this Chapter:
(1) "Building" means any structure which includes provisions for a heating or cooling system, or both, or for a hot water system.(2) "Commercial building" means any building other than a residential building, including any building developed for industrial or public purposes.(3) "Energy analyst" means a person who determines the thermal or lighting efficiency of a building which is to be constructed or renovated.(4) "Energy auditor" means a person who conducts and certifies an energy audit to determine the thermal or lighting efficiency of a building.(5) "Light commercial building" means any commercial building of less than five thousand square feet in gross floor area and three or less stories in height.(6) "Public building" means any building which is open to the public during normal business hours.(7) "Residential building" means any structure which is constructed and developed for residential occupancy.(8) "Secretary" means the secretary of the Department of Energy and Natural Resources or his designee.Added by Acts 1978, No. 715, §1.
