Section 28:144 - Investigation and assessment of charges

The department shall develop procedures to determine the ability of a patient or his legal guardian to pay all or a part of the costs of the patient's care and shall adopt a policy including rules and regulations for the assessment of charges in accordance with the ability to pay.
