Section 11:1617 - Service credit resulting from age discriminationA. Any person who retired from this system and was reemployed in a capacity as a district attorney or assistant district attorney but was denied membership in this system based on provisions of law regarding age requirements shall have the option of establishing credit for the full-time service in that capacity by paying into the system the employer and employee amount plus interest that would have been withheld and paid into the system for such service based on the member's gross salary for the period of such reemployment.B. The system shall accept as the member's payment of amounts payable by the member under this Section any assets held in an individual retirement account or annuity or a system qualified under 26 U.S.C. 401 or 26 U.S.C. 403, a governmental deferred compensation arrangement subject to 26 U.S.C. 457 or a tax sheltered annuity or other arrangement under 26 U.S.C. 403.La.
