The Institute of Puerto Rican Culture shall hold an annual activity in the Museum of Puerto Rican and Caribbean Artisanry, to award the “Puerto Rican Medal for Artisan Excellence”, which is instituted herein, to the artisan or artisans who are entitled to receive the same. Medals may be awarded posthumously, and in such cases, the same shall be awarded to the family of the honored artisan.
