The Office shall have, with the authorization and coordination of the OGPe, the following duties, responsibilities, and prerogatives:
(a) To identify, propose, and recommend any actions to be taken to meet the requirements of the CPRGIS.
(b) To serve as the CPRGIS information distribution center and be the body authorized to make determinations in connection with the information contained in said system.
(c) To draft rules regarding the availability, quality, and accuracy of the information based on the rules established therefor by the Federal Geographic Data Committee and prescribe the fees for the use of the CPRGIS services.
(d) To require every Government entity concerned and/or authorized professional that produce or update geospatial information, directly or indirectly, as part of its planning or permit-granting process, to present in the format provided by the Office a copy of the data or information of its transactions to be entered into the CPRGIS.
(e) To adopt the appropriate procedures to make the information of the CPRGIS readily available to the public as allowed by the law, unless such information is deemed to be confidential or restricted as provided by law or the compelling interest of the State.
(f) To provide every Government entity concerned with any information they may require and assist such entities in making final determinations, recommendations, and any other matters inherent thereto, by virtue of the provisions of this chapter and all other applicable laws and regulations.
(g) To serve as hub for conducting government transactions regarding the receipt of funds, particularly federal funds, for the development of the CPRGIS.
(h) To adopt regulations for the operation of all that pertains to the CPRGIS, the Map, and the Access Platform.
(i) Any other action deemed necessary and convenient to effectively attain the objectives of this chapter.
