§ 1926. Confidentiality of medical information

Any data or information related to the diagnosis, treatment or the health of any subscriber or applicant obtained by the organization from said person or from any provider shall be deemed confidential and shall not be disclosed to any person except to the extent necessary to carry out the purposes of this chapter; or with the express consent of the subscriber or applicant; or by virtue of a law or court order for the production or discovery of evidence; or in the event of a claim or suit between said person and the organization, provided said information or data be pertinent. Any organization shall be entitled to claim any statutory privilege against said discovery which the provider facilitating said information to the organization may be entitled to claim.
