Any person who willfully and knowingly obstructs, intimidates, interrupts, or illegally interferes with the election-related activities of a political party or political action committee, campaign committee or citizen group, aspirant, candidate, independent candidate, or voter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, be punished by imprisonment for a term not to exceed six (6) months, or a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500), or both penalties, at the discretion of the court.
