§ 4035. Appointment of judges in election-related cases

All judicial actions and proceedings, whether civil or criminal, provided in and regulated by this chapter shall be heard by the judges of the Court of First Instance as designated by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico shall make such designation within three (3) months before the date of the election in question, and notify such designation in writing to the State Election Commission specifying the appropriate judicial district.
