Section 5-26-3-1 - Contract for establishment of system(a) The commission may contract for the establishment of a statewide wireless public safety voice and data communications system.(b) The system must: (2) provide modern two (2) way voice or data communication to user agencies without a duplication of efforts; and(3) allow user agencies with compatible equipment to communicate with one another, resulting in the efficient handling of emergencies and cooperation between agencies.As added by P.L. 117-1999, SEC.1.
