Section 33-29-1-3 - Judge; election; qualifications(a) A standard superior court judge is elected at the general election every six (6) years in the county in which the court is located. The judge's term begins January 1 following the election and ends December 31 following the election of the judge's successor.(b) To be eligible to hold office as a judge of a standard superior court, a person must be:(1) a resident of the county in which the court is located; and(2) admitted to practice law in Indiana.Pre-2004 Recodification Citation: Various 33-33 provisions.
