Section 27-2-26-1 - "Health carrier" As used in this chapter, "health carrier" means the following entities:
(1) An insurer, as defined in IC 27-1-2-3(x), that issues a policy of accident and sickness insurance, as defined in IC 27-8-5-1(a).(2) A health maintenance organization, as defined in IC 27-13-1-19.(3) A state employee health plan offered under IC 5-10-8.(4) A short term insurance plan (as defined by IC 27-8-5.9-3).Added by P.L. 151-2021,SEC. 15, eff. 7/1/2021.
