Section 27-1-24.5-4 - "Generic drug"

As used in this chapter, "generic drug" means a drug product that is identified by the drug's chemical name and that is:

(1) accepted by the federal Food and Drug Administration;
(2) available from at least three (3) sources; and
(3) therapeutically equivalent to an originating brand name drug.
