Section 11-12-3.7-8 - Request for treatment; tolling of speedy trial period(a) An individual may request treatment under this chapter or the court may order an evaluation of the individual to determine if the individual is an appropriate candidate for forensic diversion.(b) A request for treatment or an order for an evaluation under this chapter tolls the running of the speedy trial time period until the court has made a determination of eligibility for the program under this section.As added by P.L. 85-2004, SEC.3.
