Section 10-17-10-3 - Prohibition of reimbursement claim

Money expended by a county under this chapter shall be considered a gift. Persons for and on behalf of the state or a political subdivision of the state may not file a claim for a lump sum death benefit with the federal Social Security Administration claiming reimbursement for money so expended.
