Section 33-1609 - DEFINITIONSFor the purposes of this chapter:
(1) "Abstinence" means the absence of any sexual activity prior to marriage, which activity includes physical contact between individuals involving intimate or private areas of the body that can potentially:(b) Transmit sexually transmitted diseases and infections; or(c) Present emotional risks.(2) "Sex education" means the study of the anatomy and the physiology of human reproduction.[33-1609, added 1970, ch. 119, sec. 2, p. 282.]Amended by 2023 Session Laws, ch. 190,sec. 1, eff. 7/1/2023.
