When, by action of the commission or the governor, a pardon, commutation, or remission of fines and forfeitures is granted as provided by law, the executive director shall:
(1) Retain an original pardon, commutation, or remission of fines and forfeitures document at the commission;(2) File a copy of the original pardon, commutation, or remission of fines and forfeitures document in the office of the secretary of state;(3) Provide an original pardon, commutation, or remission of fines and forfeitures document to the individual petitioner;(4) File notice with the state courts, in a manner approved by the supreme court, that a pardon, commutation, or remission of fines and forfeitures has been granted in the case; and(5) Provide such additional notice that a pardon, commutation, or remission of fines and forfeitures has been granted as the commission may adopt by rule.[(20-1018) 20-240B, added 2020, ch. 60, sec. 1, p. 143; am. and redesig. 2021, ch. 196, sec. 20, p. 536.]Renumbered from Section 20-240B and amended by 2021 Session Laws, ch. 196,sec. 20, eff. 7/1/2021.Added by 2020 Session Laws, ch. 60,sec. 1, eff. 7/1/2020.
