Section 205 - Sale or lease, limitations onAvailable lands shall be sold or leased only:
(1) In the manner and for the purposes set out in this title; or(2) As may be necessary to complete any valid agreement of sale or lease in effect at the time of the passage of this Act; except that such limitations shall not apply to the unselected portions of lands from which the department has made a selection and given notice thereof, or failed so to select and give notice within the time limit, as provided in paragraph (3) of section 204 of this title.Am L 1963, c 207, §2; am L 1997, c 197, §3The reference was to paragraph (3) of section 204 as originally enacted, which fixed a period of eight years after the first meeting of the commission [department].
