Section 38-374 - Public education resource centers
(a) The Office may establish and operate public education resource centers throughout the District to provide students, parents, and guardians with information about educational programs and school choice, including information about the application, enrollment, and assignment process.
(b) Public education resource centers established pursuant to this section shall be staffed by Office personnel and, at the discretion of the Chief Advocate, student or parent or guardian volunteers.

Applicability of D.C. Law 20-74: Section 401 of D.C. Law 20-74 provided that Title II [ §§ 201-205 ] of the act shall apply upon the inclusion of its fiscal effect in an approved budget and financial plan, as certified by the Chief Financial Officer to the Budget Director of the Council in a certification published by the Council in the District of Columbia Register.

Applicability

Section 7008 of D.C. Law 22-33 repealed § 401 of D.C. Law 20-76. Therefore the changes made to this section by D.C. Law 20-76 have been given effect.

Applicability of D.C. Law 20-76: § 401 of D.C. Law 20-76 provided that the change made to this section by § 205 of D.C. Law 20-76 is subject to the inclusion of the law's fiscal effect in an approved budget and financial plan. Therefore that amendment has not been implemented.
