Section 16-5611 - Temporary order or award(a) Before an arbitrator is selected and able to act, on motion of a party, the Superior Court may enter a temporary order under this title.(b) After an arbitrator is selected:(1) The arbitrator may make a temporary award under this title; and(2) If the matter is urgent and the arbitrator is not able to act in a timely manner or provide an adequate remedy, on motion of a party, the Superior Court may enter a temporary order.(c) On motion of a party, before the Superior Court confirms a final award, the court under § 16-5616, § 16-5618, or § 16-5619 may confirm, correct, vacate, or amend a temporary award made under subsection (b)(1) of this section.(d) On motion of a party, the Superior Court may enforce a subpoena or interim award issued by an arbitrator for the fair and expeditious disposition of the arbitration.Added by D.C.
