Section 404-S - [Multiple versions] Issuance of distinctive plates for agriculture1. On and after April first, two thousand two, any person residing in this state, upon filing a complete application and paying a fee as provided in subdivision two of this section, shall be issued his or her choice of a distinctive license plate for agriculture from those approved by the commissioner. Application for said license plate shall be filed with the commissioner in such form and detail as the commissioner shall prescribe.2. A distinctive plate for agriculture issued pursuant to this section shall be issued in the same manner as other number plates upon the payment of the regular registration fee prescribed by section four hundred one of this article provided, however, that an additional annual service charge of twenty-five dollars shall be charged for such plate. All moneys received as annual service charges under this section shall be deposited to the credit of the "agriculture in the classroom fund" established pursuant to section ninety-seven-xxx of the state finance law; and shall be used for agriculture in the classroom programs.N.Y.
