Section 6-24-111 - Violations - penalties(1) It is unlawful for any person to sell or offer to sell a grave space, niche, or crypt upon the promise, representation, or inducement of resale at a financial profit.(2) Any person who violates any provision of this article 24 commits a class 2 misdemeanor. Whenever any person has reason to believe that any person is liable to punishment under this article 24, the person may certify the facts to the district attorney of the judicial district in which the alleged violation occurred who shall cause appropriate proceedings to be brought.Amended by 2021 Ch. 462,§ 64, eff. 3/1/2022.Renumbered from C.R.S. § 12-12-115 and amended by 2017 Ch. 239,§ 1, eff. 8/9/2017.L. 2017: Entire article added with relocations, (HB 17-1244), ch. 982, p. 982, § 1, effective August 9. (2) Section 803(2) of chapter 462 (SB 21-271), Session Laws of Colorado 2021, provides that the act changing this section applies to offenses committed on or after March 1, 2022.
