Section 10-3-1303 - DefinitionsAs used in this part 13, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1) "Insurer" means every person engaged as principal, indemnitor, surety, or contractor in the business of making contracts of insurance, and any person authorized to represent an insurer with respect to a claim.(2) "Nonoriginal equipment replacement crash part" means a replacement crash part which is not supplied by the manufacturer of the motor vehicle on which the part is used.(3) "Replacement crash part" means a replacement for any of the nonmechanical sheet metal or plastic parts which generally constitute the exterior of a motor vehicle, including inner and outer panels.L. 89: Entire part added, p. 450, § 1, effective July 1.
