Section 3-201 - Local departments - In general(a)(1) This subsection does not apply in Montgomery County.(2) The Department shall create or continue a local department in each county.(3) A local department shall be referred to as the department of social services preceded by the name of the county.(b) Except as provided in subsection (c) of this section, a local department shall have a local board and a local director appointed in accordance with this title.(c) In Baltimore City, the local department shall have a commission of social services.
