Section 13-2105 - Powers and dutiesThe Advisory Board shall:
(1) Investigate the needs of citizens with traumatic brain injuries;(2) Identify gaps in services to citizens with traumatic brain injuries;(3) Facilitate collaboration among State agencies that provide services to individuals with traumatic brain injuries;(4) Facilitate collaboration among organizations and entities that provide services to individuals with traumatic brain injuries;(5) Encourage and facilitate community participation in program implementation;(6) Issue an annual report to the Governor and, in accordance with § 2-1257 of the State Government Article, the General Assembly on or before November 30, 2005, and each November 30 thereafter:(i) Summarizing the actions of the Advisory Board and containing recommendations for: 1. Providing oversight in acquiring and utilizing State and federal funding dedicated to services for individuals with traumatic brain injuries;2. Building provider-capacity and provider-training that address the needs of individuals with traumatic brain injuries; and3. Improving the coordination of services for individuals with traumatic brain injuries; and(ii) Including information concerning the number of individuals served and the services provided in the preceding fiscal year to individuals with traumatic brain injury; and(7) Disseminate copies of the annual report to the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, and the secretary of each department represented on the Advisory Board.Amended by 2015 Md.
