Section 16-401 - Annual report of Public Defender(a) On or before September 30 of each year, the Public Defender shall submit a report to: (1) the Board of Trustees;(3) in accordance with § 2-1257 of the State Government Article, the General Assembly.(b) The report shall include: (1) pertinent data about the operations of the Office, including projected needs, a breakdown of the number and type of cases handled, and relative dispositions; and(2) recommendations for statutory changes, including changes in the criminal law or Maryland Rules to control crime and improve the criminal justice system.
