Section 9-704 - Identification badges and identification cards - Certain facilities(a) This section applies to a person possessing an identification badge or identification card required for employment or visitation that is issued by: (1) a unit of the State or a county, municipal corporation, special taxing district, or public corporation of the State; or(2) a person that owns or operates in the State:(i) a factory or warehouse or a manufacturing, printing, publishing, mechanical, or mercantile establishment or a plant of any kind;(iv) a water, sewage, gas, electric, transmission, heating, refrigerating, telephone, or other publicly owned or public service company.(b) A person shall surrender each identification badge or identification card to its issuer when the person's employment or authorized visit ends.(c) A person may not knowingly possess an identification badge or identification card after the person's employment or authorized visit ends.(d) A person who willfully violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or a fine not exceeding $500 or both.
