Section 625 - Exercised by powerholder; minor powerholder(a) A power of appointment can be exercised only by a powerholder having the capacity to transfer the interest in property to which the power relates.(b) Unless the creating instrument otherwise provides, a powerholder who is a minor may not exercise a power of appointment during minority.Amended by Stats 2016 ch 81 (AB 2846),s 5, eff. 1/1/2017.
