(a) It is unlawful to set, place, or cause to be set or placed, any trap gun.(b) A "trap gun" is a firearm loaded with other than blank cartridges and connected with a string or other contrivance contact with which will cause the firearm to be discharged.Ca. Fish and Game Code § 2007
