Section 44.33.381 - Telemedicine business registry(a) The department shall adopt regulations for establishing and maintaining a registry of businesses performing telemedicine services in the state.(b) The department shall maintain the registry of businesses performing telemedicine services in the state. The registry must include the name, address, and contact information of businesses performing telemedicine services in the state. The department may renew every two years the registration of a business that meets all renewal requirements established by regulation and pays a renewal fee every two years.(c) In this section,(1) "department" means the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development;(2) "telemedicine services" means the delivery of health care services using the transfer of medical data through audio, visual, or data communications that are performed over two or more locations by a provider who is physically separated from the recipient of the health care services.(d) The department shall charge the following fees for businesses performing telemedicine services in the state: (1) initial registration fee, $100, adjusted for inflation in a manner determined by the department;(2) renewal fee, $100, adjusted for inflation in a manner determined by the department;(3) fee to report changes in the business's registration information, $50.Amended by SLA 2024, ch. 13,sec. 6, eff. 10/16/2024.Amended by SLA 2024, ch. 13,sec. 5, eff. 10/16/2024.Added by SLA 2016, ch. 25,sec. 38, eff. 6/21/2016.This section is set out more than once due to postponed, multiple, or conflicting amendments.
