(a) Voluntary Dismissal.(1)Dismissal in Superior Court. Before an appeal has been docketed, the superior court may dismiss the appeal on the appellant's motion with notice to all parties or by stipulation signed by all parties. (2)Dismissal in Supreme Court. The Supreme Court may dismiss a docketed appeal or other proceeding if the parties file a signed dismissal agreement with the clerk, specify the payment of costs, and pay any fees due. An appeal may be dismissed on the appellant's motion on terms agreed to by the parties or fixed by the Court. (b) Dismissal for Want of Prosecution. The Supreme Court on its own motion may dismiss or otherwise dispose of any docketed case in which a party has not complied with a filing deadline provided by these rules. Those cases are also subject to imposition of a monetary penalty, or other sanction upon written notice.
