Rule 20 - ADMINISTRATIVE JUDGE
(A) The administrative judge of this court shall be elected by a majority vote of the judges of this court to serve for a term of one calendar year. The election shall be made no later than December 31st of the preceding calendar year. An administrative judge may succeed himself or herself in that position. A judge who holds office by appointment to fill a vacancy may not serve as the administrative judge.
(B) The administrative judge shall be responsible for supervising the administration, docket and calendar of the court. The administrative judge shall rule upon all matters to be handled by a single judge. The administrative judge may refer any matter to a magistrate or three-judge panel. The administrative judge shall also assist the presiding judge in the performance of his or her duties, and shall serve as the presiding judge during the absence or disability of the presiding judge.
