The party calling a witness for whom an interpreter is required shall advise the court in the Civil Cover Sheet, Initial Case Management Statement or Joint Statement of the Case of the need for an interpreter and interpreter services (specifying the language and, if known, particular dialect) expected to be required. Parties shall not use a relative or friend as an interpreter in a contested proceeding, except as approved by the court.
