Rule 16.1 - Discovery Procedures for Non-felony Criminal and Criminal Traffic Cases(a) Applicability. This rule shall apply to non-felony criminal and criminal traffic cases.(b) Request for discovery. If discovery is sought of materials that would be discoverable in felony cases pursuant to these rules, a request for discovery shall be made to the opposing side in writing and shall list the specific materials being sought. Unless otherwise ordered, the request shall not be filed with the court.(c) Motion to compel discovery. A party may file a motion to compel discovery if a timely request for discovery was made, unless otherwise ordered by the court.Added February 4, 2000, effective 7/1/2000.
