Rule 6 - Time for Filing a Brief(a) Time for Filing Appellate Briefs. Parties must file appellate briefs with the clerk of the superior court as follows:1. Opening Brief. The appellant must file an opening brief within 45 days after service of the Certification of Record on Appeal.2. Answering Brief. The appellee must file an answering brief within 45 days after service of appellant's brief.3. Reply Brief. The appellant may file a reply brief within 20 days after service of appellee's brief.(b) Consequences of Failure to Timely File Appellate Brief. If an appellant does not timely file an opening brief, the court, on motion of a party or upon its own motion may dismiss the appeal.
