Section Jus 17.02 - Applicability(1) Except as provided in sub. (2), this chapter applies to the issuance and administration of all licenses to carry concealed weapons issued by the department pursuant to s. 175.60, Stats.(2) This chapter does not apply to any of the following:(a) Certification of former law enforcement officers to carry concealed weapons pursuant to s. 175.49(2), Stats.(b) Certification of former federal law enforcement officers to carry concealed weapons pursuant to s. 175.49(3), Stats.(c) The carrying of concealed weapons by active law enforcement officers pursuant to 18 USC 926 B.(d) The carrying of concealed weapons by law enforcement officers acting in their official capacity.Wis.
