A provider's contract may be suspended by the Board of Regents, without penalty, for a period of time agreed upon by the provider and the Board of Regents for certain hardships, including an extended illness or family leave that exceeds the maximum of 7 weeks off allotted each year, or termination of employment that requires the provider to seek employment in another eligible practice site.
