Section 51-11R-40250 - Section R4025-Maximum fenestration U-factor and SHGC

R402.5 Maximum fenestration U-factor. The area-weighted average maximum fenestration U-factor permitted using tradeoffs from Section R402.1.5 or R405 shall be 0.48 for vertical fenestration, and 0.75 for skylights.

EXCEPTION:

The maximum U-factor and solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) for fenestration shall not be required in storm shelters complying with ICC 500.
