Section 388-71-0511 - When is a background check required of an agency provider?(1) Agency providers are required to complete and pass a name and date of birth background check prior to working with a client.(2) Agency provider workers are required to complete and pass a name and date of birth background check: (b) Any time the home care agency employer requests a new check.(3) In addition to the name and date of birth background check, agency providers are required to complete and pass a fingerprint-based background check:(a) If hired after January 7, 2012, and in accordance with provisional hire rules in WAC 388-113-0109;(b) If they have lived out of state since the last fingerprint-based background check was completed; or(c) Any time the home care agency requests a new check.Wash.
