Section 296-876-60015 - Pitch You must make sure the pitch of the ladder is no greater than ninety degrees from the horizontal.
Notes:
1. The preferred pitch of fixed ladders is within the range of seventy-five to ninety degrees from the horizontal. Ladders with a pitch range of sixty to seventy-five degrees from the horizontal are considered substandard and are only permitted if necessary to meet the installation requirements.2.Fixed stairs are an alternative for installations where a pitch angle of less than sixty degrees is necessary.
