Section 296-806-45518 - Make sure pull-back devices used to safeguard the point of operation meet these requirements(1) You must make sure presses requiring more than one operator have a separate pull-back device for each operator. (2) You must make sure each pull-back device has attachments: (a) For each of the operator's hands.(b) That are connected to and operated only by the press slide or its attached die.(c) That are adjusted to either: (i) Prevent the operator from reaching into the point of operation; or(ii) Withdraw the operator's hands from the point of operation before the dies close.(3) You must check each pull-back device that is being used for proper adjustment at these times: (a) At the start of each operator shift.(b) After a new die set-up.(c) When operators are changed.
