Section 296-150C-1030 - Fire-blocking(1) Fire-blocking must be provided in commercial coaches to cut off all concealed draft openings in all stud walls and partitions, including furred spaces at the ceiling and floor levels and at ten foot intervals both vertical and horizontal.(2) Fire-blocking must be provided around vents, pipes, ducts, chimneys, fireplaces, and similar openings which afford a passage for fire at ceiling and floor levels, with noncombustible material.(3) Fire blocking must be two inch nominal lumber, gypsum board, cement asbestos board, mineral fiber or other approved materials securely fastened in place.Wash.
