The quantity A and the corresponding net premiums used in the determination of quantity A shall be based upon the minimum valuation standard of mortality under subsection (1) of this section for basic reserves: Provided, That at the election of the company for any one or more specified plans of life insurance, the quantity A and the corresponding net premiums used in the determination of the quantity A may be based upon the 1980 CSO mortality table with select mortality factors (or any other valuation mortality table adopted by the NAIC after the operative date of this regulation and promulgated by regulation by the commissioner).
