Section 246-928-320 - General definitions The definitions in this section apply throughout this chapter unless the context clearly requires otherwise.
(1) "Analgesia" means providing pain relief or loss of physical sensation without the total loss of consciousness or physical movement, and which allows the patient to respond to verbal commands and tactile stimulation.(2) "Applicant" means a person whose application for licensure as a respiratory care practitioner is being submitted to the department.(3) "Department" means the Washington state department of health.(4) "Respiratory care practitioner" means a person licensed by the department, who is authorized under chapter 18.89 RCW and these rules to practice respiratory therapy.
