Section 20VAC5-309-180 - Excavator site inspection

Prior to excavation, excavators shall verify they are at the correct location; shall verify locate markings with the positive response system; and, to the best of their ability, check for unmarked utility lines. If unmarked utility lines are identified, the excavator shall comply with the requirements of § 56-265.24C of the Code of Virginia.
